CLOTH#20 - ONLINE
Due to corona virus we are unable to host a physical event at Dovecot this year and yet it's more important than ever to celebrate and support our vibrant community of textile makers and designers. Many have found their varied income streams reduced to zero over the past few months. Sales from retail, studio visits and workshops have been dealt a fatal blow. And we thought CLOTH#20 would also go the same way.
We went into 2020 expecting to be hosting the third CLOTH event at Dovecot, the landmark venue for contemporary art, craft and design in the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland. As the year has progressed it became clear that we would have to think again. The team at PickOneProductions have created a new event online to coincide with our brand-new website. This dynamic site will host all past and future events, listing makers who have previously participated in what is now known as PickOneProductions events.
So, it is with great excitement that we announce our first online selling event: CLOTH#20 - ONLINE.
We'll be launching on 22nd August 2020 at the following link:

Our online space will host 50+ makers from around the world, giving you an in-depth view of the diverse community that use and make cloth as part of their creativity practice. The page will be populated with knitters, weavers, printers and a few surprises! Look out for some IGTV moments too as we interview the makers who are striving to make do and carry on during this time of crisis.
Participating makers have also agreed that 15% of all sales from CLOTH#20 will go to Dovecot, who are a registered charity. This venue is a vital resource in the landscape of creativity - specifically tapestry making - both nationally and internationally, so for us to track sales please be sure to quote CLOTH20 in all your communication with the makers you wish to purchase from.
